t day…

Things i hearT, my chicks November 27th, 2008

I have decided (in my old age) that Thanksgiving is the superior holiday to Christmas.  Think about it, Thanksgiving is all the things Christmas is - without the presents.  And what are presents really?  Other than a pain in my ass and my pocketbook??

But T day - what isn’t there to like about it??

  • awesome food
  • family
  • relaxation
  • dessert
  • full bellies
  • games
  • wine
  • naps
  • more wine
  • and it’s T day for goodness sake

No running around stressed over what gift you are gonna get who and how you will get it, no debt, waiting in lines, juggling time - just togetherness - and rocky road brownies.

I thought about doing the dorky thing and coming up with a list of things I am thankful for - but I would ultimately forget things (see wine twice on above list).  So instead, I’d like to share the one thing that made me the most happy over the past 24 hours.

I am most happy that I spawned a child that wrote me a letter like this:

It is a  beautiful thing.

And so are these

things i <3…

Things i hearT October 4th, 2008

For those of you who don’t know, I <3 taking pictures on my phone.  Typically when I do this, it is of things that made me laugh when I saw them… hence the <3ing.

I am still in the process of making this blog perfect - at some point I would like to figure out a way to send pictures straight from my phone to my blog.  Sort of in a twitter type of way, like… “look!  I just saw this and it’s funny”… but until then, this will have to do.

beautiful things…

Things i hearT July 23rd, 2008

I’ve been in a bit of a “mood” the past few days. Ya, so maybe it is PMS, and maybe you’re just all assholes and you didn’t realize it.

I like option 2.

Anyhoodles - I just did something that put me in a ridiculously fabulous mood.

It all started by wanting to update my Google Reader. As you’ve probably all guessed, I haven’t been reading your blogs… I mean if I don’t have time to post, I’m not reading any either (just bein’ real peeps, bein’ rizzle). I still have lotsa <3 for you though.

I deleted 90% of the blogs on my Reader because, as Luda would say, I really don’t give a fuck. I added a couple too tho, so all hope isn’t lost.

So the Reader update turned into Firefox plug ins, Delicious bookmark updating, and finally something I had never used - iGoogle. I can even post to my blog right on it!

Check it…

I’m so happy I could cry. But you can all still GFY (for the next few days anyhow).

holy mcfucklesons!!!

The skinny, Things i hearT, school March 5th, 2008

That is such a great word, IS. IT. NOT?! I hardly think any of you are prepared to argue that point with me at all.

So, I shall proceed.

I was at my sister’s Friday night and my BFF, Heather, stopped by for dinner. She and I were discussing some of my “dates” as of late, and my brother-in-law seemed a bit shocked, so I thought I’d get it out there as not to shock anymore people.

I’m still “married”, and I’m “seeing” other people. I use the terms in quotage lightly, just sayin’.

There, ya have it.

Next on the agenda, my fat ass.

February was a slow month for me, but I didn’t gain any weight, so I’m glad about that. No steps backward = I’m still going forward. So, this month I am starting my journey to shedding my final poundages. By July 1st (the day I started in 2007) I want to be ~35lbs lighter than I am now, which would put me at a total weight loss of ~100lbs.

HOLY MCFUCKLESONS. Put your hatorade away.

Notice I am giving myself plenty of time to accomplish this, because I realize these last pounds (especially that last 10) are most likely gonna be a big ass bitch. Holler. And don’t worry Sheila, ass soon as my jeans I have now don’t fit, I’ll be placing my custom couture order :)

Next on the agenda, finding someone to pay for my boob job. Wanna make another bet Sheila??? :)

Oh and PS - School is putting a big butt kickin’ on me this quarter. I’m all bruised up, but if I ever have anything good to tell, you will be the first to know.

i love coffee…

Things i hearT, random March 10th, 2007

I do love me some coffee, and in our house, the stronger the better. I can’t say it was always that way, but when we spent 9 days in Ireland we grew fond of their strong coffee. Blame it on the IRISH! Works for me.

Maybe I love coffee because I hate mornings. I also hate people who love mornings, like my Dad. I mean there’s nothing a teenager hates worse than having their Dad come in the room 3 hours after they fell asleep (8am) asking if they had seen any good movies lately, or if they wanted him to wash their car after he washes his. Nice gesture, but it is eight o clock in the mother effin morning? And do you really need to ask if I want my car washed? Just do it. My brother and sister read this blog… I am not lying. My Dad still does it to this day, except now he’s calling the grandkids and we are usually awake by 8am. My brother in law just learned the joy of the early morning “check in” phone call, having a new baby and all.

I am still trying to kick this cold/flu/i didn’t know such things could expectorate from my lungs thing. A week of it is more than enough punishment, for me anyway.

One more week of school and then SPRING BREAK!! wooo-hoooo I’m having a GGW moment. It is funny, because exactly 10 years ago I was planning my trip to Daytona, and now I’m planning out what house projects I can get done that week. Sad.

This also means the inevitable 30 year mark is ever closer. My best friend from high school, Heather, turned 30 on March 2nd. Omg she is so old. It is weird, when I was younger I always wanted to be older. When you’re in your twenties, you could care less about how old you are cause even 29 starts with TWENTY. And altho I know 30 isn’t OLD, it is some undeniable bridge into adulthood, or something of that nature. I mean I’m an adult now, well kinda, and I’m 29. Really 30 is no different, but I guess it’s just something to get used to. What freaks me out is that I never thought getting older bothered me. All my closest friends are over 40 (well except Heather who is 30) Joni is 44, Tina is 42 and Sheila is 4-something. :) but the point is, I don’t think THEY are old… sigh. Just smack me and tell me to get over it, mkay?

Ok, enough rambling and on to the fun stuff.

Like this.

Of course I found it thru stumbling. But when I found wonderful things like

and

I mean an entire forum dedicated to thread jacking on forums. It’s UM GENIUS!
